Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has
continued his rich vein of form this season in the Spanish La Liga
after breaking another record on Sunday, March 12, 2017.
The
former Manchester United star scored in the 41st minutes to help Real
Madrid beat visiting Real Betis 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Ronaldo has now surpassed
Atletico Bilbao's Aritz Aduriz to become the only active player to have
scored the most headed goals in the La Liga.
His
header was his 19th League goal of the season and it allowed him to
leapfrog Aduriz who was tied with the Portuguese star on 45 headers
before the game.
Antonio Sanabria put Real Betis ahead
before Cristiano Ronaldo leveled up in the 41st minutes. Defender Sergio
Ramos netted the winner for Real Madrid in the 81st minutes.
Also. Real Madrid broke another record in the Spanish La Liga by becoming the first team to score in 46 consecutive games.
